How START Sponsorship works:

  1. Choose how many schools you’d like to support and for what duration (note you can make a one-time, monthly, or annual donation— change at any time).

  2. With your sponsorship, a START account is set up for an under-resourced school(s) that wants to participate but can’t afford to.

  3. They gain access to all START features for free.

  4. One-on-one guidance so schools know how to get the most out of START, engage their whole school community, and progress towards Whole School Sustainability.

  5. Your name, business, school, or organization is celebrated on the START Sponsors webpage.

They need a way to share best practices with other schools and remove the barriers to progress. The Green Schools Alliance created START: Sustainability Tracking, Analytics & Roadmap Tool to meet this need.

Designed by schools, for schools, START integrates education and action to strengthen, support and accelerate the transition to Whole School Sustainability.

In an ideal world, START would be free for all schools. But the reality is that the program costs money to host, run and develop, and each school onboarded incurs a cost for the Green Schools Alliance. This is why we must ask for a minimal monthly fee. But cost should never be a barrier to participation!

Your support will provide START for free to a school unable to afford the monthly fee.

You donation provides under-resourced schools with access to START, an online platform that has been specifically designed to help schools benchmark, plan and accelerate their sustainability efforts.
