Action-Driven Resources

The GSA wants to make it as easy as possible for all schools to achieve their sustainability goals. This is why the growing START Resource library is offered for free to all school members via the GSA Community.

It includes the GSA’s carefully curated, action-driven:

  • ‘How-To’ Guides

  • Recommended resources

  • Case Studies

  • Templates

  • Curriculum-aligned & hands on student activities

Toolkits

As a peer-to-peer network, the GSA is working to harness the collective knowledge and experiences of our school members to share and create resources that guide and support all schools.

  • The Sustainability Ignition Toolkit provides guidance for launching a Whole School Sustainability program through START.

  • The Snapshot Forms can be used at the beginning of the year as a launch-pad for brainstorming and planning.

Templates

The Sustainability Report template helps your to present your sustainability assessment to school decision-makers, and make a case for resources, changes, and collaboration needed to move forward.

The Sustainability Action Plan template helps your school’s stakeholders to transform your START assessment into an actionable roadmap to sustainability—prioritizing goals, identifying next steps, and aligning efforts across campus to drive meaningful progress.

Reporting

Sustainability reports are a powerful communication tool. They can drive stakeholder engagement and support informed decision-making.

Through START, collating and presenting information from diverse school members is as easy as filling in a form. Responses are automatically transformed into slick PDFs for each START metric, which can be combined to create a comprehensive report of current activities, challenges and goals.

"Education can bring about a fundamental shift in how we think, act, and discharge our responsibilities toward one another and the planet."
