LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)
The LEED™ Green Building Rating System of the US Green Building Council, is a voluntary, consensus-based, market-driven building rating system based on existing proven technology. It evaluates the performance of a “Green Building” from a "whole building" perspective over a building's life cycle. They list LEED Accredited Professionals.

The Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS)
Although CHPS was developed as a standard for California’s public schools, this website contains excellent information. Its Best Practices Manual is a good standard reference for high performance school design and has information directed to school districts and guidelines for designers.
