HOPKINS SCHOOL AND PIONEER ACADEMY, FIRST PLACE WINNERS OF GREEN CUP RECYCLING CHALLEGE

Both Pioneer Academy (PS 307Q) and Hopkins received 10 Bonus Points during the Green Cup Recycling Challenge. Notable policies at Pioneer include the requirement that ALL copies be submitted for approval to save paper; that charts and important documents be laminated to reduce printing; after school clubs now receive their snacks without paper bags; and all paper purchases are from recycled stock. Hopkins' Sustainability Committee is made up of students, faculty, and staff dedicated to making Hopkins more sustainable while getting the rest of the campus population involved, and ensures environmental literacy in each member of the Hopkins community.
